The lectures will provide an outline of Japan´s education system, the characteristics of the country´s elementary schools, the realities of school life and classes, and issues in schools such as bullying.
Short Bio: Mari Hasegawa is a Professor of Psychology at Yokohama City University. Her research focuses on children’s social development. As a specialist committee member of the board of education, she has been working to address issues such as bullying at schools.
